What is it?
We provide a "hands on" program to assist student athletes to develop, improve and utilize their
athletic skill and academic abilities to access the best possible scholarship opportunities available to them.
Academic success and achievement is a major component of the program. We will provide advice regarding
academic eligibility and requirements, individual academic/athletic match-ups, SAT / ACT preparation
courses and testing dates. In order to provide the student athlete with a university/college placement
where there will be the best chance to succeed and graduate, every BRYST client will be accessible to
all coaches and universities via the internet from the time of enrollment in addition to the normal
resume match-up process.
Our coaching staff and sports directors are well qualified and experienced. They have developed a
positive rapport with college/university coaches over a number of years. Our training sessions in specific
sports are year-round, hence providing for the highest possible level of training in order to improve skill
development. In summary, our service provides flexibility to meet individual needs and circumstances.
Who can attend?
You are Male and Female Competitive Players. You work hard to obtain the highest possible GPA in
qualifying core courses. You will take the time to prepare diligently to write the SAT or ACT (entrance
examinations that all students must write who wish to attend school in the U.S.).
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." You have taken that step by enrolling in our
Scholarship Program and have begun to shed the light on your academic and athletic future!
Why should I attend?
- All encompassing, start to finish 'hands-on' service.
- One time fee regardless of when the student athlete enters the program.
- All training and skill development sessions at a reduced cost to BRYST clients.
- Up-to-date academic/athletic computerized match-up system to select the best and most appropriate placement opportunities.
- Personal contact person in each sport area, to provide advice and counsel regarding scholarship opportunities.
- Preparation and submission of resumes (up to 50) to the 'best fit' accredited universities/colleges.
- Qualified academic personnel to review and advise student athletes regarding course selection, direction and SAT/ACT preparation.
- Up-to-date information on N.C.A.A. and N.A.I.A. rules, regulations and policies affecting student athletes.
- Accessibility via the internet to all coaches and universities in North America from time of enrollment.
- Year round soccer training and skill development sessions under the direction of Gary Miller of BRYST International Inc.
(only available in Canada).
- Written evaluations as appropriate, to provide suggestions for improvement that are key to securing an athletic scholarship.
Assessing your abilities
Most student athletes have a very difficult time assessing their ability to obtain an athletic scholarship. There are many reasons
for this:
- The tendency to underrate your skills and abilities.
- The lack of knowledge, particularly of the U.S. University and college system where athletic scholarships are a
way of life.
- The belief that only the elite athlete will be in demand.
Knowledge of the entire athletic scholarship procedure that is a focus in the American high school programs,
is very foreign to most secondary schools in other countries.
