Bryst President to attend AEFCA symposium
The Alliance of European Football Coaches Association invited Bryst President,
Gary Miller, to attend their
29th Symposium in Frankfurt, Germany on October 25-29. This was the seventh symposium that Gary has attended
for the Alliance of European Coaches. Previous symposiums have been held in Bratislava, Paris, Kusadasi,
Estoril, Basel and Prague.
The Alliance is dedicated to train and educate top coaches from all over the world. UEFA representatives
from the 52 European nations send their Technical Directors, and countries from all over the world are represented.
This year, coaches were treated to presentations from FIFA, UEFA, DFB (Germany), Spanish FA and the
Turkish FA. Topics included a review of Euro 2008 and the Champions League by Andy Roxburgh of UEFA.
The DFB presented their player development system and practical sessions with Eintract Frankfurt players.
The Spanish FA presented the reasons behind their success at Euro 2008. The Turkish FA discussed the management
behind their Men's National Team and their success at Euro 2008.

Success for the BFA U18 Girls!
BFA U18 Girls Team are successful in winning the SAAC Showcase Girls Cup Final on Sunday, October 19
at BMO Stadium. Bryst beat DP Soccer Academy from Stoney Creek 2-0 in the final. Shannon Hyslop of
Aurora scored one goal in the first half and a second goal in the second half to secure the victory.
Sindoora Iyer and Misah Gauer secured the shutout.
Congratualtions to the girls for a terrific season. They are now preparing for the MAPS Showcase
Tournament in New Jersey on November 21-22.

Bryst junior teams compete in Erie, PA
The BFA U10, U12 Boys, U14 Boys and U14 Girls travelled to Erie,
Pennsylvania for a Great Lakes Alliance Soccer Event. Teams from
Rochester, Buffalo, Erie, Cleveland and Pittsburgh all took part.
The BFA U10 team won all three games playing against teams from Erie,
Pittsburgh and the newly formed Empire Academy. The U12 Boys lost
three close games to Pittsburgh teams. The U14 Boys team also lost
three close games to Pittsburgh teams. The U14 Girls lost their
three games to Pittsburgh and Erie teams. This was a great experience
for the players and showed the coaching staff how far the players
have come in their development since January.

BFA friendlies against varsity teams
The BFA U18 Boys team played two exhibition games against Ontario University opposition
at the end of August. They lost to the U of T Blues 2-0 at Varsity Stadium and tied the
UWO Mustangs 2-2 in London at the TD Waterhouse Stadium. The BFA team is the top team in
SAAC this year, dominating every team they play and needed to get outside competition against
older players. They played exceptionally well against both OUA teams.
