Bryst International are back from their international trip to Rio Maior, Portugal. The BFA Teams competed against Youth Academy Teams from professional clubs in Lisbon and surrounding area. The three teams, Under 14 Boys, Under 17 Boys and Under 17 Girls competed against Portuguese clubs from August 20-30, 2009. The group stayed in the National Sport Center in Rio Maior, where the Portuguese National Teams stay and train.

Competition for the boys’ teams were against teams from Belenenses FC, Estrela da Amadora FC. The girls’ team competed against  Sociedade Unaie Dezembro FC (National Champions) and Molinhos FC.

Three BFA players were invited into trials with OS Belenenses. They were Chris Mendes, Matt Luchetti and Aidan Murphy (photo).

The teams saw a professional game in Fatima. Cultural visits were planned for famous sites in Sintra, Estoril and Obidos. The great Portuguese legend, Eusebio, also visited with the teams.
